Case Study of FIS Headquarters Building and Parking Deck
The new FIS Headquarters located at 347 Riverside Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida consists of a twelve-story
commercial office building, approximately 300,000 square feet. The primary structure consists of cast-in-place
concrete columns, post-tensioned concrete beams with cast-in-place concrete elevated decks supported by
augered cast-in-place piles. The project also includes a connected pre-cast concrete eight-story above grade
parking structure, over 500,000 square feet with almost 1,600 parking spaces.
Speaker:
Andrew C. Sain, P.E., S.E., LEED AP, is a Principal in the Atlanta office of Stanley D. Lindsey and Associates (SDL)
and served as structural Engineer of Record for the new FIS Headquarters building in Jacksonville, Florida. He
has designed and managed large-scale cast-in-place concrete projects throughout the southeast. Andrew has
been with SDL for over 24 years after receiving a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and Masters in Structural
Engineering from Georgia Tech.
