Topic: Post Installed Anchoring Principles & Design & Post Installed Reinforcing Design
Learn about the basics of various post installed anchors and the different factors affecting the design of an anchor system. The presentation will provide an overview of the adhesive and mechanical anchor market, including the principles of anchor theory, which includes applications and design basis. Also included will be post-installed reinforcing design explaining the differences between post-installed reinforcing bars designed per ACI 318 anchoring-to-concrete provisions and per ACI development and splice provisions. This event offers

Speaker: John C. Farmer, Senior Field Engineer Hilti North America. John has a BSCE from the University of Kentucky and has worked as a consulting structural engineer for White Walker & McReynolds, Inc., and Buell Fryer McReynolds, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky and LBYD/Lane Bishop York Delahay, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama. He has been a Senior Field Engineer with Hilti North America since 2002.
