Topic:       Wall Systems: CMU, Cast in Place Concrete, Tilt Up Concrete and Precast Concrete. When to use them and why: A Panel Discussion (1.5 CEUs)

There will a brief introduction on wall construction in Northeast Florida by Mark J. Keister, P.E. followed by a panel discussion on wall construction.

Panelists:             Mr. Jerry Painter – Owner of Jerry Painter Masonry Consulting, LLC. Jerry is a third

                            generation brick layer, a past president of The Masonry Society (TMS) and a member of

                            TMS 402/602 committee.

                             Mr. Dustin Shotly – Senior Project Manager with Baker Concrete. Dustin has been with

                             Baker Concrete for over ten years with a broad spectrum of market segments

                             including Nuclear, Civil and Commercial.

                             Mr. Jay Patel, P.E.-Senior Structural Engineer with Haskell. Jay has over 25 years

                             Experience with tilt-up projects and sits on the ACI Tilt-up Committee ACI 551.

                             Mr. Tom Newton – Vice President, Operations Gate Precast Company. Tom has 34

                             years of experience in the precast concrete industry and has been with Gate since 2001.

                             He has experience in both architectural and structural precast concrete.
